At Stanegate Hideaways we offer four-star self-catering accommodation at two lovely cottages in the beautiful South-Tyne Valley.
Seal Cottage is hidden away along a peaceful footpath in a conservation area but right in the heart of Hexham and only a few minutes' walk through the Sele Park to the Abbey. With one bedroom having zip'n'link twin beds which can provide a superking double, one double room and one single, Seal Cottage can provide the most comfortable and flexible accommodation. With excellent public transport links to Newcastle, Carlisle, Hadrian's Wall and beyond, Seal Cottage is the perfect base for your Northern holiday however you wish to travel.
Stable Cottage is at Huntercrook, near the village of Bardon Mill, and on the edge of the Northumberland National Park; and being just one mile from the Roman Fort of Vindolanda, and about three miles from Hadrian's Wall itself, is absolutely ideal for "walking the Wall" at its most stunning locations. With one double and one twin bedroom, plus a sofa-bed if needed, Stable Cottage is newly refurbished to provide excellent comfortable accommodation.
Both cottages have fully equipped modern kitchens and bathrooms, and Wi-Fi if you need to access the internet. Your children (and dogs) are very welcome – travel cot and high chair can be arranged. Whichever you choose, you can be sure of a warm welcome and everything (with the possible exception of sunshine which is a little more difficult to organise) to ensure you have a super holiday!
Short breaks and long-weekends are available as well as full weeks, for which all linen towels, fuel and power are included within the price.
